Queen of Muirfield

Callie: A Queen's Memoir - Why I Reign
Lost and alone, I had nowhere to go. My pet parent had to move into assisted living, and her son—bless his heart—wasn’t sure what to do or how to care for me. Out of the kindness of Dr. Leas’s heart, she welcomed me in and crowned me the Queen of Muirfield Animal Hospital… and thank goodness she did!
I officially took over in August of 2024. At the time, I was a very “fluffy” 17 pounds (so they say). I’ve worked exceptionally hard and am now a sleek and fabulous 12.5 pounds! I still bother my servants for treats and snacks, of course, but they do their best to keep me on track with my weight-loss journey. I intend to be here a long time, sharing my purrs with all the pet lovers who walk through our doors.
My servants take wonderful care of my kidney issues, eye complications, and the handful of other medical concerns that come with being royalty. It’s a good thing I came to rule this castle.
I have my own penthouse—a cozy room equipped with a water fountain, automatic feeder, plush beds, and most importantly, endless love and cuddles from my loyal staff. I know I bring them so much joy. They happily give up their chairs and computer stations so I can GSD (Get Stuff Done). I also love when pet parents and delivery drivers acknowledge my presence. A queen must be recognized, after all.
I truly believe I make everyone smile. And that, my dear subjects, is why I reign.
Registered Veterinary Technicians

Linda is Muirfield Animal Hospital’s Operations Manager, Client Care extraordinaire, and a Registered Veterinary Technician who truly knows MAH inside and out. She joined the MAH family after spending several years at Noah’s Ark and brings more than 40 years of experience in the veterinary field. In fact, Linda began her career as an Animal Health Technician—before the title evolved into what we now know as a Registered Veterinary Technician.
With a skillset polished to the max, Linda is a wealth of knowledge in both veterinary medicine and client care. She is a true inspiration to the next generation of technicians and sets the gold standard for professionalism, compassion, and excellence.
Born and raised in Mechanicsburg, Ohio, Linda now enjoys country living with her husband. She’s a proud mom of two grown children and absolutely loves spending time with her grandchildren and cheering them on at all their activities. Outside of work and family time, Linda enjoys getting lost in a good book, soaking up the outdoors, and escaping to her favorite getaway spots to the beaches of Florida.
At MAH, Linda’s goal is to provide every pet parent with a true red-carpet experience. Whether she’s greeting you on the phone, welcoming you at the front desk, or supporting you through a difficult moment, Linda is dedicated to making every visit seamless, compassionate, and personal—for both pets and the people who love them.
Fun fact: Linda loves a good rabbit hole—especially the kind that starts with “Have you ever noticed…?”

Nicole is a true ray of sunshine—an exceptionally dedicated, detail-oriented Registered Veterinary Technician who has wanted to work with animals for as long as she can remember. She turned that passion into a career by earning her degree from Columbus State, and she has since gained a wide range of experience in small-animal general practice. In 2022, she was thrilled to help launch Muirfield Animal Hospital alongside Dr. Muriel Leas.
Born and raised in Lancaster, Ohio, Nicole now lives in Delaware with her husband and the bestest boy ever, Baron the Golden Retriever. Their sons, Dylan and Joshua, are grown and doing great things in their lives — and Mom and Dad couldn’t be prouder!
Nicole has a genuine love for learning and stays curious about all things veterinary medicine—from new treatments and alternative therapies to surgical assisting skills. She is incredibly patient, endlessly knowledgeable, and always eager to share that knowledge with pet parents to ensure they feel confident and informed about their fur babies’ care.
Highly organized and a natural mentor, Nicole is a steady source of support for younger technicians. She loves connecting with the team and pet parents in a positive, caring, and uplifting environment—something she has worked hard to help build and maintain at Muirfield Animal Hospital.
When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll find Nicole gardening, decorating for the holidays, or browsing her favorite boutique shops.
Fun fact: Nicole brings entrepreneurial spirit to the team—she and her husband previously owned a successful business together.

Born and raised in Columbus, Ohio, Veronica is a vivacious, big-hearted Licensed Veterinary Technician who has been loving and caring for pets since 2009. She’s known she wanted to work with animals since she was just five years old—and with plenty of encouragement from her family, she followed that dream straight into veterinary medicine. Veronica truly believes this is the calling God placed on her heart. In 2022, Dr. Leas asked Veronica to join the Muirfield Animal Hospital team, and she couldn’t say “yes!” fast enough. She loves what she does and considers her MAH team a part of her extended family.
Veronica and her husband call Columbus home, where they’re raising their beautiful family of four—including two sweet (and very sassy!) daughters. While they dream of adding a non-shedding pup someday (a Cavapoo is high on the wish list), they currently enjoy pet-sitting dogs and cats and treating them like honorary family members.
A proud Thomas Worthington High School grad—Go Cardinals!—Veronica went on to complete the Veterinary Technician Program at Columbus State and also earned a one-year Certificate in Biblical Studies from Zion Bible College. Veronica is passionate about continuing to grow as a vet tech, especially when it comes to capturing top-notch radiographs. Her love for the profession also shines through on social media—she’s a natural at showcasing the amazing pets we care for and the teamwork that makes MAH so special.
One of Veronica’s greatest joys is building lifelong relationships with pets and their families, from puppy and kitten visits through every stage of life. Being trusted to care for them—even through the most difficult moments—is deeply meaningful to her.
When she’s not caring for patients or her family, you’ll likely find Veronica working out, trying new foods, hunting down the best ice cream flavors, or enjoying some self-care with facials and fresh nails. She also loves spending time with her girlfriends and staying connected through church and women’s Bible study. Looking for a good deal or a coupon? Just ask Veronica—she loves helping people save almost as much as she loves her patients!
Fun fact: Veronica is always on the hunt for the best ice cream flavors and loves trying new ones whenever she can!

Grace is a hardworking Registered Veterinary Technician that joined the wonderful crew at Muirfield Animal Hospital (MAH) in 2024. She has a huge heart for doing things the right way—something we deeply value when it comes to caring for our patients and supporting their pet parents.
Born in Springfield, Illinois, raised in Sherman, Illinois, and now living her best life in central Ohio, Grace landed in Sunbury with her family before settling into her new abode in Powell, OH. She shares her space with her sweet guinea piggies, Baby and Truffle. When she’s not at MAH, Grace enjoys longboarding and soaking up some fresh air.
Grace attended Columbus State Community College (CSCC), where she earned her degree in Veterinary Technology. She’s incredibly proud to be a Registered Veterinary Technician and loves putting her skills to work for both patients and pet parents at MAH.
Her interest in veterinary medicine started at a young age, and when she discovered Muirfield Animal Hospital while job hunting on Indeed, she knew right away this was her kind of place. From the moment she stepped in for her working interview, the MAH culture, teamwork, and genuine care for patients made it clear—good vibes all around. Grace’s goal is to follow in the footsteps of Linda, MAH’s most experienced and compassionate technician! She puts her whole heart (and plenty of hustle!) into everything she does and strives to be the very best technician for our MAH pets and the people who love them—now and for years to come.
Grace has grown tremendously and continues to develop into a well-rounded technician—from hands-on patient care to thoughtful, confident client conversations. She’s excited to build lasting, positive relationships with both pets and their people.
Fun fact: Grace has dog and horse breeds memorized! She’s also always ready to share a fun fact on the fly.
